Learn to Play
Free Music Lessons for Children aged 6-16
We are thrilled to be taking over the 422 Manchester every Tuesday to Thursday 4-7pm as part of our Learn to Play Programme and welcoming 46 children through the door each week. Previously Longsight Youth Centre, 422 is currently undergoing a £1M renovation, with half of the building (including the cafe and music rooms) now operational; and 200-person Victorian concert hall now open. Find out more about 422 here!
Violins, violas, cellos, flutes, clarinets, saxophones… It’s all going on at Learn to Play! As part of the programme, all children receive a one-hour group or 30-minute individual lesson each week, as well as their own instrument to take home, for as many years as they would like to continue. It’s been fantastic to see how enthusiastic children and parents have been. At the moment, we have 28 one-to-one students. Check out the photos from our Christmas Concert on 17th December at the 422 Hub.
