Children’s Voices is an award-winning project which brings professional singers to work with children from across schools in the community.
Since 2017, Children's Voices have performed in concerts (and opera productions!) in venues across Manchester, including The International Anthony Burgess Foundation, Whitworth Art Gallery and Manchester Cathedral, most recently performing with internationally acclaimed choir, The Sixteen.
This term, we are delighted to be staging a co-created production of Mini Mary Poppins at the Whitworth Art Gallery with professional singers from the Royal Northern College of Music on 3rd April. In the summer, we are very excited for Children’s Voices to work with the amazing musicians from afro-beat group, Agbeko, to devise and perform their own songs at the People’s History Museum on 11th July!
Children's Voices rehearse every Tuesday from 4-5pm at the Nazarene Community Church in Longsight (M13 OLG), and is open to any children in Manchester. For more information, or if you know someone who would like to join Children's Voices, please get in touch with Jo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Children's Voices is generously supported by Schroder Charity Trust and the N Smith Charitable Settlement.
