Yazan Khwies

Guitar teacher

Yazan Khwies is a professional guitarist and composer with over ten years of experience in music. He is originally from Syria and is an Artist Protection Fund Fellow in residence at The University of Manchester, Department of Music.  

Yazan started playing the classical guitar at the age of 14 and has had the opportunity to perform in various places as soloist or within ensembles, such as (Opera House Damascus, High Institute of Music Damascus, Yes Academy in Lebanon, and others). In addition to his performance career, he is also a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of music, specialising in supporting aspiring young musicians.

Highly enthusiastic to develop his musical experience in different styles, Yazan is always eager to explore and present creativity and beauty in new forms.
