Meet Laura, Our New Fundraising and Development Manager

We are thrilled to welcome Laura Batey as the newest member of our OMF family! As our Fundraising and Development Manager, Laura will be instrumental in helping us achieve our fundraising goals and continue to champion diversity through music in Manchester.

Originally from Newcastle, Laura has been working in the charity sector since 2019, specialising in community and corporate fundraising for both local and national charities. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Laura is also a talented altfolk singer-songwriter and musician. She plays the flute and alto saxophone, and enjoys jazz, theatre, and baking homemade bread!

Laura is a passionate advocate for social justice and intersectional feminism. On joining OMF, she said: "I'm delighted to be joining the brilliant team at OMF, supporting music education for children and communities that otherwise wouldn't have access to it. OMF is a wonderful charity with fantastic staff and volunteers, and makes a massive impact for families in Manchester.”

We’re particularly excited to welcome Laura as we prepare for bigger and better events and activities for the upcoming school year! You can read more about Laura here.
