A spectacular evening of showtunes: Music Theatre Showcase in partnership with Dean Trust Ardwick

Last Thursday, we were thrilled to join forces with our friends at Dean Trust Ardwick (DTA), to present an evening of music theatre favourites and showstoppers! The showcase featured the incredible talent of our young performers, who have had the opportunity to learn musical instruments through our Learn to Play programme, and develop their vocal skills under the guidance of Musical Directors Alice Needham and Rioghnach Connolly, who lead our Youth Voices and DTA choirs respectively.

Performances ranged from heartfelt to hilarious, celebrating beloved classic musicals and contemporary hits alike, including Les Miserables, Matilda, The Last Five Years, Kinky Boots, Six the Musical, and Dear Evan Hansen - plus some Beethoven and Des’ree for good measure! This was a wonderful way to celebrate some of our performers’ recent achievements: Tia has been accepted onto the prestigious music theatre course at Pendleton School of Theatre, and Govin (Grade 4 Popular Vocals) and Sam (Grade 1 Violin) both received Merits in their recent exams. The event was expertly compered by Dean Trust student Gbolahan, adding an extra touch of flair and charm to the evening.

We’re so grateful to everyone who made this event so memorable - congratulations to all the performers, and special thanks to Julia and everyone at Dean Trust Ardwick for your ongoing support!

Thank you to Karen Rangeley for the wonderful photos!
