Jo Yee Cheung
Jo is a British pianist and music educator based in vibrant Manchester. Born and raised in Sheffield, Jo began playing the piano at the age of 6, and greatly benefitted from the dedication and mentorship of her music teachers as a child and young adult. Since graduating from Cambridge University in 2014 with a degree in Music (and studying with Prof. Niel Immelman at the Royal College of Music) Jo went onto undertake a Masters degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Since completing her MMus and PGDip at RNCM, on a scholarship and under the tutelage of Richard Ormrod, Jo has commenced PhD in Music Education at RNCM which she hopes to finish in December 2020.
Jo manages the various projects within OMF, in particular liaising with schools and other organisations to co-ordinate and develop new and existing projects. When she isn't practising or writing funding applications, Jo enjoys travelling to new places, trying new foods and hanging out with her cat, Atticus.
