Dan Mitchell

Brass teacher

Dan Mitchell is a Manchester-based professional musician and brass tutor who studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where he graduated with a BMus(Hons). After studying orchestral music at the RNCM, Dan began developing skills in jazz and commercial music and gained places on Brighter Sound’s FUNK Foundation led by the legendary Pee Wee Ellis and Gary Winters (Fred Wesley and the New JBs, Bootsy Collins) as well as their Jazz Director’s Series led by Mercury Music Prize Nominee Zoe Rahman. Dan was a member of Agbeko between 2016-2021 and has made appearances with Steve V King of The Drifters, Roosevelt Collier of Bokanté and the Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra.
