Learn to Play

Free Music Lessons for Children aged 6-16

Learn to Play is a free instrumental lesson scheme for children aged 6-16 who are receiving free school meals, from families in receipt of income support, or are refugees or asylum seekers.

As part of the programme, all children receive a 30-minute individual lesson each week, as well as their own instrument to take home, for as many years as they would like to continue. Lessons take place from 4-8pm at either Longsight Library or Dean Trust Ardwick School, with opportunities to join our Children's Voices (ages 6-11) choirs and/or Children's Orchestra and take part in termly concerts too!
